Grid of Girders / Beams
Would there be any benefit - i.e. thinner - to have multiple lines of beams/girder running the length of the bridge with tranverse beams when necessary? Basically like the KAIT roof structure, or the SANAA Ferry Terminal.
And a bridge with columns!

Hi dong, the main disadvantage of using the grid (floorbeams and stringers) is the lack of torsional strength/stiffness. This means that you would need to place the slender columns in pairs. The grid also wouldn't be great at accomodating curves in plan between columns.
