Hey all, here're some bits and pieces on Maribor:
1. MARIBOR 2012 website for the bigger picture. e.g. in 'Architecture and Urbanism' they mention the extension of a pedestrian precinct/zone by connecting with the network of walking paths
2. 2 videos commissioned by the city of Maribor, showing the developments for 2012
3.HERE are some good photos of the riverbanks
4. LENT Festival is a major arts festival held over 3 weeks in the summer in Maribor. They brag about 400,000 visitors. Anyway, stuff happens along the riverbanks and they have 3D photos from the event.

Awesome thanks. Did they mention maribor2012.si in the brief for the competition? Or did I just overlook it. Seems kinda important. I probably just overlooked it.

Do you know when the video was made? Pretty damn extensive and varied proposals for 2012.
Im curious if there's any more information on the Medical Facility and the Puppet Theater building and front riverbank steps, as in architect, more developed design etc.

Medical facility: this guy kept coming up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Podrecca , but i couldn't find anything definitive. also this local arch office http://www.planb.si/ (they might be doing it togethere? no idea) but i gave up on their website.

their rendering showd up in the pdf here too http://www.maribor2012.si/en/main.php?ptype=0&id=87&echosub=1 , and btw, they say "The project is conceived as stairs
descending to the water level of Drava (see illustration). The planned arrangement shall be
included completely when designing the bank and the new Pristan – Lent promenade." (embankment brief, pg10, 1.3)
yes, 2012 keeps coming up, pretty specific in at least the embankment and bridge brief.
